Christmas Card Buffett

17 Cards are in this $15 buffet.

Sign up for a 2 hours session.  You can make 1 or 2 cards of the 17 offered.  You will probably make from 6 - 12 cards during that time.  We will start on time and you can't start making a new card 5 minutes before ending.  You can make what you can in 2 hours.  10 people can come at one time.  I timed it and most of the cards will take between 10 - 15 minutes. The cards that use markers may take longer depending on how long you take to color the image.

You will work as an individual at your own speed.  You will pick up a packet which has the pieces cut out. There will be a sample and instructions. You will share the inks, blocks and markers at the table.  You need to stamp and sometimes cut and then put the card together.  This is the first time I have tried this.   I have cut 5 of each of the cards.  Once the cards are gone they are probably gone unless I still have some paper left to cut new cards of that style. This will be a first come first serve basis.

The dates I have open are: October 5,6,7,8,14,15,19,28 and November 4,5,6,10,11,18.  Groups of 3 - 10 can come during the day or at night.  If you place an order over $20, I will waive the $15 for the workshop. Email me if you are interested.

ShinHan Markers and Water colors

Close To My Heart is offering water color pencils, water color paint and ShinHan markers as a way to make your images pop on cards or page layouts.
The left princess and stack (which will be a wedding cake on a card) and the top balloon are all water color.  The others are with the ShinHan markers.  Both are great products.  Check out the Video

Sangria (#ctmhsangria) paper and October Stamp of the Month

Close To My Heart is featuring the Sangria paper in October.  The October stamp of the month is Twinkle - getting you ready for Christmas.
Because I am from Wisconsin and my husband is from Missouri, we always celebrated Christmas at Thanksgiving time as well as Christmas.  The Sangria paper is great for fall and Thanksgiving gatherings but I put it to use as 8 Christmas pages.  Think ahead and get ready to put in an order on October 1st!

September Stamp of the Month Paper Garden

In the catalog are always examples of how to use the stamps and papers that Close To My Heart has.  Over Labor Day weekend, my sister and I were having fun with stamps and paper.  My sister Sue took the stamp of the month and was able to make the page in the catalog.
This stamp is versatile for both pages and cards.  The Stamp of the Month is only available for that month - so if this stamp makes you think of all sorts of projects you can do, you can get this D stamp for $17.95 or spend $50 and purchase it for $5.  Check it out on my website.

Workshop on the Go's LIVE! #ctmhnevermore

Workshop on the Go's are a wonderful set of papers, directions, D stamp set and bling.  What do you do when that paper is no longer available in the catalog?  You use it with available paper!.  My sister to the Nevermore paper from the current catalog and used the Frosted Workshop on the Go directions.  I just had to share it and give people ideas.  You can get the Workshop on the Go or the How to Programs to help you have all sort of creative ideas.  Check out both of them on my website.  These tools help you be creative over and over.  Remember you can "flip" the directions and the pages 90 - 180 degrees and it looks so different!

Introductory 8 card workshop

I am offering an Introductory 8 card workshop.  It features 4 styles and you do 2 of each style.  These 4 cards are from Make if From Your Heart Vol 2.  This How To Program has both scrapbook pages and card sketches that are just super.  You can find it on my website under Shop and then How To Programs.
Here are the 4 styles:
This is Card 2.  There are many ways you can make this card fit any of your needs and occasions.

Card 2a - this has the banner from Close To My Heart Cricut cartridge Artiste and the circles are cut from Art Philosophy.  The stamps are C1619 So Many Smiles and B1449 Oodles of Doodles.

Card 2b used D1627 Your Own Kind of Wonderful and the ShinHan markers to color the butterflies.

This is Card 3.  Again this style can be changed to use so many different techniques.

Card 3a uses D1663 Floral Banners.  I cut this banner as the stamp set has a 2 step banner and changed the square to a triangle.

This is Card 3b. The Close To My Heart Artiste Cartridge has the banner.  You may not see it but 3 of the little butterflies have Itty Bitty sparkles on their antenna.  Stamps sets: D1646 Finding the Words (this is such a versitile stamp for all occasions) D1663 Floral Banners

This is the blank Card 4.   You can actually emboss on the white card if you like for a background texture look.

This is 4a.  It can be for anyone.  I have shown the 3 Princesses below the card.  I used the ShinHan markers again as well as a background heart stamp from D1668 Charming Cascade.  The other stamps used or could be used: C1631 Birthday Princess, A1180 Safari Ballet, and B1486 Darling Dinos.

This is Card 4b.  the banner comes from the CTMH Cricut cartridge Artistry and uses D1680 Life is Sweet that comes with the Artistry cartridge set.  You can use a black marker to help set off the card.

This is Card 1.

This is Card 1a.  It uses Washi tape.  You could also use Shimmer Trim.  The stampsets used are: A1170 Doodle Design.  You can put a number of sayings on the inside of the circle.  M1053 Sweeter with you or M1123 Feel Better.  I used the embossing folder of hearts using sand paper to see the hearts.  I would either use a smaller design or place the paper differently in the embossing folder because you really can't see the hearts well.

This is Card 1b.  I used the ShinHan markers again and have offset the square.  I used Z2013 silver Assortment sequins but you could also use the gems.

On all the cards I used The thin 3D foam tape.  I don't make things "stand out" too much because it requires special postage to be added otherwise your card will be chewed up in the post office machines.  If you are in doubt, take a card in an envelope to your local post office.  They have a slot that is about 1/4 inch and if the card fits through it, it will go well.  If not, you need to add postage to your card before mailing.

Zoe #ctmhzoe

September is featuring Zoe paper for Close To My Heart. You can find more Zoe examples by using #ctmhzoe.   You can get the Zoe paper packet as well as the Complements, Assortments and then the added "bling" that is listed on the page. The Workshop on the Go is a great way to use the paper for 2- 2 page layouts.  With the Workshop on the go, you will also get a D size stamp, the directions for 4 pages as well as the "bing" to make the pages that you see below. You can learn creative used of the stamps and the papers from the directions.

I work with people who choose to use 4 x 6 photos.  I design pages that use primarily that size photo. The Workshop on the Go's choose various sizes of photos and it changes with each workshop.  Below are 2 layouts done with 1/2 a packet.  You repeat the same 2 pages with the other part of the packet and you will have 8 pages with a packet (adding neutral paper for base pages).

If you are interested in stamps used and the directions, you can message me and I will send them to you.  Have fun seeing what other people are doing with Zoe by following #ctmhzoe.
