The making of an album

Page protectors and flip flaps and pocket pages protectors give you many options to put more photos on on a double page layout.  You can put the protectors in between the pages.  You can put the flip flaps to put 3 photos in a spot only 1 would have gone. or the 6x12 flip flaps actually can give you 1/2 page or whole page on the 2 page layout.

We had a new grandbaby born on March 14, 2021.  I made an album for the first year of his life.  The video below is of all the pages.

Because you don't know what photos you will be taking, I included for the 'mom and dad' 4x6 flip flaps to put on the pages.  I made some of the pages with 6x12 flip flaps to extend the page..  I also put the 12x12 Memory protectors and the Pocket plus memory protectors (they use 4x6 and 3x4 sizes and are about 1/2 a page) in the middle of the "month" page for more photos.

Close to my Heart also has a Cricut  program called Artfully sent which is for making cards.  I used the envelopes that were open and plain cards from the CTMH Cricut Artfully sent and put them way on the top of the page with the blank card taller so it is like a tab sticking out.  This gives you journaling space without taking up lots of room.  If people don't want to read the journaling, it is there when it is needed.  You can also use an "envelope" that isn't open and put a photo on it with the tab sticking up.

Hope you have fun getting ideas about what you can do on your next album.
