April 2024 Cards

 I tried something new.  I cut out 3 card types and then offered 2 designs using those cuts.  Have you ever taken the same pieces and configured them differently?  Let me know in the comments what you think about this method.

8 1/2 x 11 Album using Skylark

This is an album I made for my niece.  My instructions were to have flowers and gnomes.  I used the Skylark paper.  I also made 12 x 12 patterned paper with mixed media and stamping.  I cut them up to use as well as die cut the flowers out from it. The last page was 3x4 pocket cards that I made into a page. 

 

Future Plans

 As many of you know, Close to My Heart is closing its business and at the end of April my website will no longer work.  You can order from the company through the end of June.

I have joined Stampin Up as a Demonstrator.  That is effective May 1, 2024.  Stampin UP bought CTMH's 12 x 12 albums, protectors and some other items which I will be able to sell starting May or when they become available.  

I have had some illness and just been busy with life and getting presents done. Check back in and learn more of what will be coming.

You can't tell but you can use acrylic to make it look like a real window.

November set of Christmas cards

Here is the next set of Christmas cards to choose to make in the November class.  I will have different cards to offer for December.  There are also cards that take longer and I can offer another time at my home if you wish to make them.

This is a neat set.  There is a stamp set,  thin cuts, embossing folder and stencils that all go together.  The top left is the set of 3 stencils on the embossed folder.  The upper right is the embossing on white.  The bottom left is embossed on aluminum foil and colored with alcohol markers, and the bottom right is just the aluminum foil.  

This card is a diagonal cut on the front with a card that flips over.  The top sentiments are some of the options that you can put inside.

You can use the thin cuts of the branches how you wish on this card. 

You make your own "paper" by gluing strips together. 

This card has an opening in the middle with a small front card.  There are a variety of sentiments that you can choose to stamp in the middle.  

If you are coming to the classes November 13 and 14, you need to let me know which ones and how many you want to make.
