January Card Buffet

January may seem far away - 2020 starts a new decade.  Sign up for a card group: the 1st Tuesday of each month we meet at the First UMC in Baraboo from 6-8.  The 3rd or 4th Wednesday in Portage - this month it is January 22 at the Pizza Ranch.  Come at noon to eat a buffet meal and from 1 - 3 we can use the back room to make cards.  I am looking to have a card group on a night in Merrimac.  These are the cards you will have the option to do.  I was making samples from the paper I had on the table.  The papers may be slightly different depending on how many people sign up.  Let me know as soon as possible.  thanks

It costs $3 per card you make.  In a 2 - 3 hour time period, people can make from 5-8.  Some of the cards are very easy and some take more time because of coloring. The pieces are all cut out and you are given pieces to make a card.  You may follow the sample or use the pieces as you wish.  The embossing is done for you. The Thin Cuts are stamped because they can be tricky and there is less waste if I stamp on them ahead of time.

Christmas Card Buffet

The following cards are going to be in the mix for the several card workshops I cam doing for my Christmas Card buffet.  Some are easier than others.  I absolutely love the Shimmer Brushes and I did some of the card using the Stickles Glitter Gel.  They are useful for somethings but what I tried to use them for, I was disappointed.  I have fun designing the cards and enjoy when others take delight in them as well.

Using the Thin Cut squares and circles

There are some great thin cuts for cards and you can use it in scrapbooking.  You can use those smaller stamps - fitting a 1 inch circle or square.

I used the Shimmer Brush but you could use the Glitter paper.  You can also cut some of the inside lines to make a bigger square or a rectangle.

This square thin cut is great to make Christmas Cards and it is versatile for the whole year and many occasions.  

The Shimmer Brushes are excellent for getting a shine and sparkle on the card without having to do more postage.
