Valentine's Day Cards - I Heart Us

I love the versatility of the Close To My Heart papers. Each paper set has a name. In the new catalog, there is a paper called "I heart us". There is a deluxe kit which

focuses on assembling a 6" × 8" mini album, creating a wreath by stamping, and paper weaving. This kit makes 1 two-page layout, 2 single pages, and a 12-page 6" × 8" mini album.

I do card workshops during the month. People make 3 cards. Because of when we meet, I am offering the Valentine's day cards this month. I know that some people don't do the holiday cards so I give them options for making it another card.




This stamp set have other things to offer. I also bring other stamps with sentiments that vary but can be anything from birthday, to sympathy, to thinking or you, or thank you.


Here is the stamp set which you can see can easily become a thank you card.

One of the other cards is definitely a Valentines' day card.

There is variety in the stamp set:

I am offering a different stamp set if they so choose, it can be Valentine's Day as well as a "thinking of you" or "Thanks".

The last card can easily be a sympathy or thinking of you card.

I use the paper packet and cardstock packet from the I Heart us.

I have lots of paper left over for scrapbook or cards projects.  I enjoy the card kits and scrapbook kits that come from Close To My Heart but every so often I love creating my own.  Enjoy looking at my website for all the new products.  The catalog goes for 4 months.  Check out what is new!

There are 11 card designs that you can choose from at the Christmas Card Buffett.  Wednesday December 5 will be at the Pizza Ranch in Portage.  Sunday December 9 will be at the First United Methodist Church in Baraboo.  A third time TBA will be at my home.  

Epic Happy Birthday Cards

The Hello Pumpkin paper has these cute cards in the Workshop Your Way.  You will make 2 designs of 6 cards each.  These are really cute as a kit but the designs and cutting patterns can be used for any number of paper scraps you might have around.

Shaker Cards - Holiday Sparkle and more

This holiday you can make some special cards.  Holiday Sparkle is a kit where you can make 6 each of 2 designs.  Check out my website. You can also check out the blog 'Make if from your heart' from Close To My Heart on these Holiday Sparkle shaker cards. 

If you like the shaker cards, you can get 6 foams and acetate (note that you will get 3-d foam squares in the middle of the circles.

You can also get the thin cuts which will help you make your own "shaker pieces".

You can also purchase loose sequins to put inside of the shaker cards.

These are really cute to make for so many occasions.  

November card group in Portage

I am going to start a card group in Portage Wis on November 14 at 1 pm.  If you are interested in joining this group or having a night group, call me at 608-370-0156.  You can make 1 - 4 cards for $3 each.  There is a limit of 10 people.  There are 10 designs and you can choose 1 each for the cards you want to make.

Getting ready for Halloween!

I had some old leftovers of Halloween compliments and packets.  I also had a full packet from "Cats and Bats".  I decided to get ready for this years Halloween pictures early. 

 

I love the Close to My Heart VersaMat as it is easy to get those diagonal cuts and straight placements.

Because I had "left overs" from the original projects, I used these and stamps to embellish my pages.

Below are the Layouts 2 and 3 - regular and then embellished.

One could use stamps and Cricut shapes and letters to do the same thing.  You could also use this layout with different paper and get a very different look.  

Remember that you can always turn your pages 1/4 turn and get very different looks as well.  You can use the 1/2 page protectors for 4x6 and 3x4 photos or use Flip Flaps if you have extra photos but don't want to keep making pages.  See what you can do for Halloween!
