August Album using Live Beautifully paper

I have designed 10 - 2 page layouts with 1 6x12 flip flap and 1 - 1/2 page protector.  I used the 16 pages from the Live Beautifully paper and added 4 sets of base pages: sea glass, bashful, black and daisy white.  There are 5 layouts twice.
Layout 1

Layout 2

This layout uses a 6x12 flip flap. If you look, the first photo looks complete before the surprise opens up to more room for photos.

Layout 3
Uses 1/2 page protector.  This one is for 3 - 4x6 photos.  This allows you to have more photos and not add more pages.

Layout 5

These layouts incorporate different uses of embossing powder.  You can use solid stamps and pigment ink with clear embossing powder or Veramark clear ink and use silver, gold and white.  If you do white powder on white paper you can do a wonderful watercolor wash.

In these layouts I have also used glitter paper with our thin cuts and used the new banner and flag thin cuts as well as flower thin cuts and regular stamps/thin cuts.

The following pages are the second set of pages using the same designs with changes.

Thin cut challenges keep coming!

Remember at the beginning of July when I posted the 3 cards?  I tried to see if just using cardstock would work.  I would have random stamped them but once glued, its a little too late.  Thin Cuts to the rescue.  I added some thin cuts to those same cards and like them a lot better.  I used our ShinHan alcohol markers because the design was so intricate.  I used the clear and gold Shimmer Brush to the Thin cuts for extra glitter.  It works in person better than photos.

I am still on the way of getting the 125 Thank You cards for the September wedding.  Here were some more cards that I made with the Thin Cuts for an upcoming class and thank yous.

I used Shimmer Brush on these cards too for extra pizazz.  What are you doing?  Make some cards and pages and get posting!

Close To My Heart Thin Cuts

The July Challenge is using Thin Cuts.  The bottom card is a variation on what I last posted.  The other 2 are variations from the Workshop You Way from previous catalogs.

This month I am doing a card class at the Portage Library using water color.  These cards are Thin Cuts stamped in Archival Ink so that the water color can be used.  I am stamping the think cuts before I get there as we only have 1 1/2 hours to work.  They will still have choices in how they design their card.

Let me see your use of Thin Cuts!

It's time for Stampaganza!

From July 1 - July 31, 2017 when you buy 2 stamp sets, you can get a third set of equal or lesser value FREE!  You can choose from any stamp set in the current idea book plus from a collection of popular sets that we have brought back for this month only.

You may remember the popular monthly word puzzle sets.  If you do calendars or do scrapbooking for "year" times or just like to make cards and pages with themes, make sure you take a look at this.  Individually they are D size $17.95 but if you buy all 12 they will be $143.60 where the full retail price would be $215.40.

there are also some of my favorites: Washi Wonder, Happy Hexagons, Say It All and the Exotic Flower.  I love the last one as you can stamp it in different colors and cut layers to make an easy beautiful card.

Check out my website on July 1 to see all these stamps.

Making it your own

In the Seasonal Expressions, there are cardmaking Workshop Your Way.  The one using the No Worries paper is called Workshop Your Way Anniversary Cardmaking Kit.  It has a "thanks" as well as anniversary stamp so I make them all for my Thank You cards I am working on.  I love these kits at they give you the sizes of paper to cut and you can use your scraps or other papers to make these cards over and over.  Changing the paper really changes how they look.

July Challenge "Thin Cuts"

I usually love to stamp on cards.  I use the thin cuts on scrapbook pages.  I have some examples of thin cuts on pages so I tried to make a sampling of cards.  I only used thin cuts.  I used Close To My Heart Glitter paper and the Shimmer Trim with plain cardstock.  During this month I will keep posting Thin Cuts - also using words.  I might do these cards again and stamp same color on same color or use our embossing folders.  See what you can come up with.

If you need ideas on cards or pages, remember that there are some great books and 2 smaller ones that give you the cutting sizes and examples for cards and scrapbook pages.  You will find them on page 110 of the Annual Catalog.  Remember: the 2 present catalogs end as of July 31, 2017.  Look over things and make sure you have everything you need before it might be gone.
